What staff said: Planning staff told the board the crosswalk footnote for character-area typology now allows amendments to open-space designations when land is not dedicated open space, civic space, or a common green and when removal does not affect environmentally sensitive areas. For PIN 0667545940, a wetlands delineation showed where protected environmental features exist and where they do not; staff recommended changing the designation from open space to Mixed Residential Neighborhood where wetlands do not constrain development. For PIN 0689627257, staff recommended changing the open-space portion to Neighborhood Commercial because staff found no environmental features and concluded the open-space label had likely been an error.
Board action: No members of the public signed up to speak. The board closed the public hearing, moved to recommend approval of CTA 20261 as presented, and the motion carried.
