Koochiching County commissioners on April 28 approved routine claims, accepted donations for veterans programs and authorized a major information-technology purchase.
The board approved Courthouse claims totaling $383,295.91, Highway claims of $20,467.19 and Public Health and Human Services claims as presented. It also approved voiding warrant #60853 for $3,000.00. The approvals passed unanimously.
Commissioners accepted donations to the County Veterans Transportation Program totaling $16,550 (including $14,000 from VFW Post 2948) and additional donations totaling $9,603 for the Koochiching Warrior Initiative Veterans Lodge (including $7,703 from VFW Post 2948). The board approved payments for two burials of $952.20 and $1,400.00 and an additional $105.82.
On information-technology spending, the board accepted a VC3 quote of $240,666.43 to purchase new virtual machine hosts and modular smart array hardware, with $45,666.43 in contingency funds and the remainder charged to the Information Systems budget. The motion to accept the quote passed unanimously.
All motions recorded in the minutes passed on recorded votes; no dissent was recorded on the financial and IT items during the meeting.
