The committee discussed options ranging from a full‑day (bell‑to‑bell) ban to limiting devices during class periods.
Board members noted that the state is still clarifying whether district policy should require full‑day bans or allow period‑by‑period restrictions; the administration and committees are awaiting that guidance before the board takes further action.
Mia said the committee’s input will help shape district policy once state guidance is issued.
