Judge Tammy Long Hayward opened the Clayton County State Court arraignment and jail calendars at 10 a.m. on April 21, 2026 and heard a long series of arraignments, negotiated pleas and jail-matters.
Across the morning the court accepted multiple pleas and imposed sentences ranging from credit-for-time-served with suspended balances to short active time. Examples of dispositions announced on the record included: Lakesha Chantel Lachland (case 2023 CR02876) — guilty plea to count two with counts one and three nolle prossed, sentence of 12 months with two days to serve, balance suspended conditioned on a $500 fine payable within 90 days and a bench-warrant set-aside; Bridget Marne Williams (2022 CR05797) — no contest plea to no-insurance (count one), a $200 fine (about $298 with fees) with the court granting 60 days to pay; and Wino (Wincino) Carpenter (2023 CR03430) — no-contest plea to criminal trespass, sentenced to 12 months with two days to serve and the balance suspended on the condition of no new violations.
On the jail calendar the court accepted pleas in several airport-related trespass matters. Kyle D. Ellis (2026 CR04560) entered a no-contest plea and was ordered 12 months with 10 days to serve, credit for time served, and a ban on returning to the airport MARTA station without a travel ticket; Kenneth Pack (2026 CR04533) received 12 months with 60 days to serve (credit for time served) with a court-ordered prohibition on returning to the airport without a ticket; and Brenda Joyce Chambers (2026 CR04581) pleaded no contest to criminal trespass and a related theft-of-mislaid property count, with concurrent 12-month terms and 30 days to serve (credit for time served) and a condition to avoid Hartsfield–Jackson Atlanta International Airport and have no contact with the named victim.
Other matters disposed included probation revocation proceedings for Jamar Saunders (2019 CR08648), where the state recommended and the court discussed a 90-day sanction and future supervision arrangements; a public-indecency-related plea for Joshua Lee Mitchell (2026 CR04685) with a 30-day active component and no-contact/stay-away conditions; and multiple criminal trespass filings resolved by negotiated pleas or nolle prosequi recommendations for defendants such as Jeremiah Leandre Jones and Aisha Cleola Jordan.
The judge repeatedly reminded defendants of reporting and probation requirements, directed some to probation offices for signup, and advised defendants to use available community supports. She also encouraged unrepresented defendants to consider counsel and instructed that represented defendants should allow attorneys to speak for them. The session closed after the jail calendar matters were completed.
