Student interns unveil alumni directory website to connect Bloomfield Hills graduates with students

"We reached over 130 alumni which is above our goal of 100 this year," one intern said, describing outreach through the PTO and social media. The site includes sections on networking, email-writing and resume formatting; the students said the Google form remains active and the site will be updated as more alumni sign up.
Board members pressed on data privacy and utility: trustees asked whether alumni had opted in to display contact information; interns confirmed participants had opted in. Trustees proposed a reverse-posting feature so employers or alumni could post internship opportunities for students. Administration suggested the district could host a link or otherwise promote the site districtwide after staff review.
What’s next: interns asked the board to distribute the site districtwide and to consider adding an employer-facing internship posting function; staff members indicated they would explore promotion and privacy safeguards.
