The board discussed targeting a $300,000 project, with $150,000 expected from the grant and $150,000 to come from village funds if the grant is awarded. If the grant is not secured, the committee will return with a revised plan that fits a $150,000 village budget.
Trustees also noted grant opportunities for permeable walkways and MMSD funding to address flooding. The committee flagged future fundraising options, including sponsorship of equipment, but emphasized that the grant application and final site plan approval will come back to the board.
