Under the consent agenda the council accepted a $477.96 donation from SELCO to the library (Resolution 2866) and approved a $4,950 Department of Natural Resources grant for the fire department (Resolution 2867). The council also approved hiring Gavin Peterson as the 2026 pool manager and hiring Erica Altoff as a payroll technician/accounts payable and human resources assistant. Council members approved the purchase of a wildland fire skid unit and storage system for the fire department.
Council members also approved resolutions related to the 2026 street and utility improvements: Resolution 2868, which declares costs to be assessed and orders preparation of proposed assessments, and Resolution 2869, which calls a hearing on those assessments. The meeting packet included a rail works agreement in support of the street and utility improvements.
The consent agenda was approved by voice vote after no items were pulled for separate discussion. There were no public input speakers signed up for this meeting.
