House approves journals, passes slate of bills on final reading and sets reconsideration for select measures

The House of Representatives opened with roll call and, by voice vote, approved the journals for days 41–43. Members then considered final-reading motions and, on the consent calendar, approved a number of House bills and motions to agree to Senate amendments.
Representative Kahaloa moved to agree to Senate amendments on a long list of bills and to suspend the rules to consider final reading by consent; both motions were seconded and approved by voice vote. The Clerk read a series of exceptions and recorded named 'no' votes on several bills. Later in the session, the House voted to suspend rules and reconsider earlier disagreements with the Senate on select measures; Representative Kahaloa's motion to give notice of intent to agree on HB 2296 HD1, HB 2315 HD1, and HB 2343 HD1 was approved and those items will appear on tomorrow's order of business.
The House adjourned until 12:00 noon tomorrow.
