Chief Operating Officer Dr. Shawn Gallaher presented the slate and said the amount — "3,280,714 dollars" — is allocated across vendors selected for competitive pricing and responsiveness and aligns with the district facilities study. The recommendations include replacing a failing end‑of‑life boiler at Elkhart/Elsie Rogers, upgrading the fire alarm control panel at Mary Frank Elementary, asphalt improvements at North Point and Meadows Edge, and an 18‑month interior refresh at Prairie Vista Elementary with new ceilings, LED lighting, HVAC diffusers, flooring, and other functional upgrades.
Board members asked about tying the projects to the district priority list and requested design links in future presentations. The board voted 6–0 to award the projects as presented; administration will manage contracts and construction schedules.
The administration said work is expected to occur this summer for the outdoor projects and that the Prairie Vista interior project will follow an 18‑month timeline.
