Greenfield Elementary teachers showcase 'Fun Fridays' multi‑age project-based learning

"We were thinking creatively out of the box," one presenter said, explaining that longer project cycles gave students opportunities to collaborate, lead and present. The teachers highlighted mentoring between older and younger students, gains in confidence for students who struggle in their home classroom and authentic public‑speaking opportunities when students presented their books to peers.
The board applauded the examples and the PTO's role in supporting reading initiatives tied to the program. Teachers said the next Fun Fridays theme is a science unit on solids, liquids and gases (Mentos in bottles demonstration planned this Friday).
