Valley Center recognized as Tree City USA; mayor proclaims April 24 Arbor Day

Mayor James E. Truman then read an Arbor Day proclamation naming April 24, 2026 as Arbor Day in the city of Valley Center and urged citizens to plant trees and support local tree-protection efforts.
Councilmembers thanked Stewart and encouraged residents to contact city staff (Neil) for tree‑related questions; staff cited upcoming Arbor Day activities and possible community planting events.
