"The dropout report for the 24-25 school year... we had a 0.82% dropout rate," Anthony told the board, adding the district recorded 58 dropouts (33 males and 25 females) compared with 81 the previous school year. He said the district's rate is below the state average, which he cited as 1.21%.
Anthony and board members emphasized the role of student-services staff—counselors, social workers and student advocates—in reengaging students, and credited career and technical education events and in-person engagement following pandemic years for supporting the trend. Anthony noted middle-school (7th–8th grade) dropouts were not reported for 2024–25.
Board members praised staff efforts and said continued work with schools and CTE programming will remain a priority. The board did not take formal action; staff will continue follow-up as needed.
