The East Grand Forks City Council on April 15 carried a series of routine actions including approval of prior minutes and authorization for staff to issue payments for recommended bills and payroll.
Council moved and seconded approval of the April 1 council meeting minutes and the April 8 work-session minutes; a roll-call vote was recorded and the motion passed. The council also authorized the city administrator, clerk and treasurer to issue payment of recommended bills and payroll after a roll-call vote.
During council and staff reports, Mayor Mark Olstead congratulated newly sworn Officer Herman Gray and noted library coverage in the Herald. Council Member Ben Pakinsky reported on the East Grand Forks Robotics fundraiser: "they needed to raise $20,000 ... we were able to serve 253 pulled pork meals and raised $8,000 ... along with the EGF boosters ... they've raised the $20,000," he said, thanking local businesses for donations. Several council members also mentioned upcoming community events and fundraisers.
The council then moved to adjourn; the motion carried and the meeting closed.
