The Parma City School District board on April 23 adopted multiple routine resolutions covering the agenda, minutes, financial reports and human-resources items and took a procedural vote to postpone one contested certificated reassignment until the next regularly scheduled meeting.
Early in the meeting the board adopted Resolution 2026-04-194 to approve the meeting agenda and Resolution 2026-04-195 to approve the written record of April 9, 2026. The board also approved the March 2026 financial report (Resolution 2026-04-197) and supplemental appropriations (Resolution 2026-04-198).
Under human resources, the board moved to adopt Resolution 2026-04-199 to confirm a set of certificated appointments, stipend amounts, substitute appointments, non-compensated leaves and accept resignations. Board discussion led to a motion to divide the question and consider item three (confirmation of change in certificated assignment for the 2026–2027 school year) separately. A subsequent motion to postpone that specific item to the next regularly scheduled board meeting passed in a roll call vote in which at least one member (Mr. Reyes) recorded a 'no' vote.
Other personnel and retirement resolutions (for example, Resolution 2026-04-2000 accepting certified retirements and Resolution 2026-04-201 accepting administrative retirements) were adopted by roll call. The board concluded the public portion of the meeting and adopted Resolution 2026-04-205 to adjourn to executive session at 6:25 p.m. relative to negotiations.
The board did not take public personnel action on allegations raised during public comment about the Greenbryer Middle School principal; Dr. Hunt said personnel and investigative constraints limit what can be discussed in public. The postponement of the certificated reassignment means the specific reassignment will be placed on the next board agenda for further consideration.
