Chief Brown said the levy advertising is ongoing; the board has received one pro statement and the auditor's office will try to secure a con statement before the advertising period ends on May 1. "If they can't, then it just goes to the ballot without it," the chief said.
Separately, commissioners agreed to hold a District 12 strategic planning session on Saturday, May 9, starting at 9:00 a.m. at the same meeting location to set goals and priorities for the coming year. The chair and several commissioners described the session as a full-day working meeting with follow-up smaller workgroups as needed.
The board adjourned after the scheduled business was completed.
