At its April 23 meeting, the Apple Valley City Council held a public hearing and adopted a resolution approving an on-sale beer and wine license for Suriya Sanjeev Apple Valley LLC at the Times Square Shopping Center.
City staff told the council the application had been reviewed by police and city staff with no reasons found to deny the license. Staff noted the license would become effective only after the applicant secures a final certificate of occupancy and the health department issues the restaurant license.
No members of the public spoke for or against the application during the hearing. Councilmember Grendahl moved to adopt the resolution; Councilmember Hebert seconded, and Christina recorded a unanimous roll-call vote (Hoppa, Bergman, Grendahl, Hiebert, Melander — all aye). The resolution carried.
The applicant was not present at the meeting; staff said they would proceed with final administrative steps once the certificate of occupancy and health approvals are complete.
