Residents urge accessible comprehensive-plan submittal; hospital auxiliary promotes May art raffle

Joseph Smith described the raffle, saying the auxiliary will display retired donated artwork and sell tickets in the hospital lobby Monday—Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., with ticket prices ranging from $1 to $5 and drawings held every two weeks or until individual-piece tickets sell out. Smith asked residents to pick up flyers and noted that each work will display artist information if available.
Melissa Rockel identified herself as "a resident of Grant County" and said she wanted clarity on how the comprehensive plan's final-stage written statements should be submitted, who receives them, and whether a deadline or alternate delivery options exist for residents without consistent communications service. She asked that Commissioner Medina be contacted to help ensure the statements are included in the final plan.
The chair thanked both speakers and noted public-comment rules (five-minute time limit, not a Q&A). No immediate board action on the comprehensive-plan submittal process was recorded; commissioners or staff were asked to follow up.
