Chilton County commissioners vote to enter executive session on litigation and property

The Chilton County Commission voted unanimously Monday to enter an executive session to discuss pending litigation, controversies likely to be litigated and the consideration of purchase, sale or lease of county real property.
Commissioner Hall moved to go into executive session for two purposes: legal advice related to pending and imminently likely litigation, and discussion of offers or values related to real estate. Commissioner Perkins seconded the motion. Sylvia Singleton called the roll; Commissioners Billingsley, Bone, Childers, Hall, Headley, Perkins and Williams all recorded affirmative votes.
Commission leadership said the executive session will include attorney Robert Lockwood and county staff and emphasized that no action will be taken during or immediately after the closed session. The motion instructed staff to attach a copy of Mr. Lockwood's declaration to the meeting minutes.
The commission adjourned the public portion of the work session and moved into the executive-session portion as announced.
