Randolph County Schools board approves levy order; not an excess levy, officials say

Board members asked no substantive questions about the levy rates and moved to adopt the documents on the agenda. The board approved the motion by voice vote, recorded as 5-0 in favor.
The approved materials will be sent back to Charleston as required; district staff said they will finalize the paperwork and proceed with administrative filings.
The action was procedural: it adopts state-approved local levy rates and does not change tax rates without a voter-authorized bond or local levy process. The board took no other fiscal action tied to the levy during the vote.
