The board also approved a contract to provide meals to Pawnee City Little Learners for the July–June school fiscal year; Superintendent Mister Evans noted Little Learners is not yet an approved state food service organization and therefore is not receiving state meal reimbursements, so the district will provide meals and the provider will pay the district under the contract.
Using SFSP grant funds the district authorized purchases of storage racks, a cooler and an oven to replace food‑service equipment. The board also accepted a Booster Club donation for two backboard height‑adjustment systems intended to improve access for younger players; administration confirmed the donation covers procurement and district staff will handle compatibility checks and installation. The board approved participation in the Niemaha NRD hazard mitigation plan to preserve potential FEMA reimbursement eligibility in the event of a disaster.
