Todd said the change-order amount is $1,669,978 (the figure was clarified during the discussion) and will increase the overall project cost to about $5.3 million. He said the extra expense will be covered by utility costs being transferred from utility operations into the transportation fund that finances the project.
Staff described these as field-driven utility adjustments that were necessary to align the project with existing infrastructure and future operational needs. The project remains on schedule, and staff expects to begin closeout work within the next six months.
