She noted there would be no immediate financial impact from the transfer but that the city would assume long-term maintenance responsibility.
Commissioners asked follow-up questions about other county roads under consideration for transfer and about a separate Sage Road right-of-way dedication tied to a PUD. Staff said each county-to-city transfer is considered case-by-case and that the city generally expects dedicated upgrades before accepting roads so it is not left with unexpected maintenance burdens.
No final action was taken at the agenda-review session; the transfer was presented as an item for the full meeting.
