The application proposes partial demolition and a remodel to create a restaurant with outdoor dining, associated landscaping improvements and a call‑ahead pick‑up window (for order pickup rather than on‑site fast food ordering).
Applicant Jesse Stock, representing Eaton Park Hospitality Group, said the project will preserve service staff employment and provide outdoor dining and improved safety for pickup operations. Landowner Adam Ferry of Ferry Land Company said the lease requires reducing the replacement building to about 3,000 square feet, which will increase plaza visibility and free space for additional parking.
Planning staff and the Planning Commission recommended approval; the council approved the project by voice vote. The applicant confirmed outstanding technical comments (impervious coverage, landscaping) were addressed and that the salad bar will be returned in the new layout.
The plan includes a minor traffic flow change in the plaza: drive aisles will be adjusted and one side reconfigured to a one‑way circulation to accommodate the pickup window and meet ordinance compliance.
