New Hampton County High School on schedule; board tentatively sets ribbon-cutting for July 9

"We're going to have the most beautiful facility here in Hampton County," Dr. Sheffield said, describing site visits and continuing installation work. The moving committee proposed three dates for a ribbon-cutting; staff coordinated with the State Superintendent's office and suggested July 9 at 9 a.m. as the tentative date and time. Trustees agreed to proceed with planning for July 9 and instructed staff to finalize logistics and notify the state office.
The superintendent also reminded trustees of a scheduled Saturday work session to review contractual matters related to phase two of construction; staff will circulate attachments in advance.
