Maintenance worker Todd Duffin served as master of ceremonies.
Nishahara announced that Monnique has accepted the acting assistant director position during an absence and the department is recruiting for a full‑time community service specialist and part‑time clerical staff, with postings internal and online and an expected fill timeline of a few weeks. She said hiring aims to stabilize front‑office operations and support program delivery.
A commissioner asked about new concrete trash/recycling receptacles in the park and whether the city had a recycling collection policy; staff said the immediate priority is to replace damaged cans and that a formal recycling program has not been implemented but can be evaluated.
The update concluded and the commission moved to adjourn.
