The presenter recommended Samantha Brennan Bochamp for a dual‑diagnosed teaching position, noting her long tenure (since 2001) as a behavior‑support para at Cook, experience training staff in non‑violent crisis intervention, and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from South University. Staff told the board both positions would begin once required certifications are finalized.
Trustee Frasier moved the motion; Secretary Campbell seconded and the board approved the contracts by voice vote. Board members praised the district’s work developing homegrown teacher candidates and indicated plans to notify partner programs about the pipeline’s outcomes.
