At its April 23 meeting, the Hamblen County Commission confirmed a set of appointments and approved multiple consent and finance items in a series of roll-call votes.
Mayor Ealy’s appointments to the Hamilton County Board of Equalization (Steve Canter, Harold Waddell, Bill Hicks and Danny Young) were confirmed individually by roll-call. The commission also confirmed appointments and reappointments to the Construction Board of Adjustments and Appeals (including Will Schlager, Philip Carlisle, Jerry Horner, Edward Hale, John Allen, Jeff Wilder and Max Cook).
On finance matters, the commission approved construction change directives and budget amendments for the Hamilton County Health Department, authorized highway payments for portions of Jaybird Road work, renewed the Hamblen County Sheriff’s slip-and-mooring lease with Cherokee Boat Dock LLC, approved agreements with the Tennessee Department of Health and a health-education loan-repayment incentive contract, and voted to accept an interlocal Byrne Justice Assistance Grant agreement between Morristown and Hamblen County. The commission also approved surplus property lists for the Election Commission and Cherokee Park.
All items in these packages passed by recorded roll-call votes during the meeting.
