Commission weighs lower-field hydroseeding quote and funding limits; revolving account balance reported
Summary
A quote from Hillside Landscaping could cover half of the lower-field hydroseeding and irrigation if executed in fall; commissioners noted the full project would exceed available impact fees and revolving-fund comfort levels. Staff reported a recreation revolving account balance of $68,674 with a pending $10,805 deposit.

Recreation staff updated commissioners on field maintenance needs and a December quote from Hillside Landscaping to complete hydroseeding and irrigation for half of the lower fields. Staff said the drainage installed last year is performing well, but the turf requires replanting and hydroseeding best performed in the fall. A discussion noted that completing the whole field would cost approximately twice the available impact-fee allocation and that pulling $30,000 from the revolving fund would be uncomfortable for current reserves.
The commission reviewed options to phase work and to revisit funding once the fall quote is reconfirmed. Staff reported the recreation revolving account balance at $68,674 with a pending deposit of $10,805 from summer-camp and program revenue.
No formal vote or contract award occurred. Staff indicated they may return with updated cost figures and a recommendation at a future meeting.
