Paulding County school board approves vendor awards, Bank of America purchasing-card program and closes Poole Elementary renovation

At its meeting this evening, the Paulding County Board of Education approved a series of routine administrative measures and heard a monthly financial update from staff.
Mr. Barnett presented the February financial summary, saying the packet "includes a statement of revenues, expenditures, and encumbrances, which is required by regulation in Georgia law." He reported a year-to-date revenue variance of 10.2%, a year-to-date expenditures variance of 0.9%, and that the district’s unassigned fund balance can support about 2.8 months of FY26 budgeted expenditures.
On the consent/action docket the board voted on four items: a one-year renewal of IFB 23-230222 (painting services), an award of RFP 26-260130 (benefits-broker services), a resolution to establish a Bank of America purchasing-card program, and a resolution certifying final payment and closeout of the Poole Elementary renovation (project number 25-710-002). Staff noted Cole Crowder, procurement director, and Doug Carey, executive director of facilities, were present to answer questions on specific items.

The meeting recessed to executive session and later returned to public session to continue recognitions and ceremonial items. The board adjourned at the end of the evening after brief member comments.
