Morgan County appoints Randy Taylor to Board of Health

At the April 20 meeting, the Morgan County Board of Commissioners moved to appoint Randy Taylor to a vacancy on the county Board of Health to replace Mike Ellis.
Commissioners reported outreach to several candidates. Dr. Jake Allen indicated he wanted to check board schedules for potential conflicts; Randy Taylor told county staff he would be happy to serve after being recommended by Bud Swisser. "Based on the recommendation... I would say that we appoint Randy Taylor to Mike Ellis's position on the board of health," a commissioner said before the board voted in favor by voice.
Commissioners noted Taylor’s background as a former superintendent and said that experience would be useful on the health board. The appointment was approved by voice vote and the board congratulated Mr. Taylor.
