Early in the floor session the Clerk read messages from the Senate announcing passage or refusal to concur on several files. Representatives moved that the House refuse to concur or accede as appropriate and asked the Speaker to appoint four-member conference committees to meet with Senate-appointed conferees. Representative Jordan moved the House to refuse to concur on House File 3426 (natural resources); Representative Wolgamott moved the House to refuse to concur on House File 4252 (higher education); and Representative Bierman moved to accede to the Senate’s request on Senate File 4612 (state government, health provisions). The Speaker announced House appointees for the respective conference committees on the floor. All motions to appoint conference committees were agreed to by voice vote.
