Earlier in the meeting Jameson had asked the board to approve an amendment to the Rustic Rocks contract tied to boulder placement and erosion protection work at Highdive Park. He said the contractor is near completion but additional boulders and a modest labor buffer (an amount staff described as approximately $7,500) were necessary to ensure the outcrops and erosion controls meet the intended design. The board approved the amendment; staff said the contract contains an up‑to cap and the contractor will not bill for work not performed.
Jameson also gave operational updates — noting facility readiness for spring leagues, ongoing hiring for lifeguards and concessions, and that Rustic Rocks was expected to finish work before the Fishfest event in early June. The board did not oppose the grant acceptance or the contract amendment and directed staff to proceed with planting and final construction steps.
