Butler County RTA outlines budget‑neutral route overhaul for Middletown, to take effect in August

Russell Awai, Transit Planning Manager for the Butler County Regional Transit Authority, told Middletown City Council on April 21 that the agency will overhaul local bus routes this August to shorten ride times and improve connections.
Awai said the redesign replaces long loop patterns with inbound and outbound lines and reallocates service from underperforming stops to higher‑demand destinations such as Kroger, Meijer, Walmart and medical facilities. "We're looking to improve frequency to the high demand areas," he said, and to move to a clock‑face schedule so riders can remember departure times more easily.
