Council tables Rabbit Hole ABC/consumable hemp license amid statewide uncertainty

Council Pro Young moved to lay the application on the table, citing statewide confusion over regulatory guidance and the need for legal and ABC review; Council Lucas seconded. Council members said they are taking the matter seriously, have consulted ABC and legal staff, and want to avoid approving a license that could be subject to reversal if state rules change.
"I don't think that we need to be moving forward, making a decision on something that could turn around and close you down in months when they change... I'm going to make the recommendation that we lay the request on the table," a councilmember said. The motion to table carried 6-0.
Councilmembers indicated the business can continue operating under its existing status while the council and staff complete legal review; no new hearing date was set during the meeting.
