After closing the meeting to the public, the City Attorney reported two reportable directions taken in closed session on April 21.
On potential litigation involving an affordable housing contract, the council voted 4–0 (Mayor Cabrera, Mayor Pro Tim Gonzalez, Council members Bernard and Delgado voting yes; Council member Baka Santa Cruz absent) to direct the city manager to resend contracts for the Mary Erickson community housing project known as Lantana Court.
Separately, the council also voted 4–0 to direct the city manager to proceed with real‑property negotiations for acquisition of an alternative site for a public‑safety campus at the northeast corner of Redlands Boulevard and Ro de Gea Avenue; negotiator will be City Manager Brian Mohan, and the prospective seller or representative was identified as Oscar Graham.
City Attorney Steve Kintania emphasized that the city has an obligation to report out reportable actions taken in closed session and that no action was taken on a separate potential‑initiation litigation item.
