CCPS finishes Workday financials live phase; HCM/timekeeping to go live Dec. 22 with training and mitigation plans

Miss Aldis, project lead for the district's ERP modernization, told the school board that financials (the Finance module) went live in October and that Human Capital Management (HCM) and time tracking would go live on Dec. 22.

She summarized adoption metrics from the financials roll-out (thousands of purchase orders and supplier invoices processed) and listed the primary issues the team addressed during rollout: missing or misassigned security roles, workflow confusion and custom reporting challenges. Aldis said the district has implemented focused office hours, microlearning videos and refresher trainings for timekeepers and schools to reduce friction.

To reduce risk during the HCM go-live, Aldis said the district instituted transaction freezes on HR records and scheduled extra training sessions and mitigation procedures so 12-month employees and other affected staff could submit time without disrupting pay. "We have successfully implemented the FIN. It's not that it's been a smooth road, but it's getting smoother every day," Aldis said.

Board members praised the training approach and asked about customization and organizational-change management; Aldis described a hands-on outreach approach with targeted meetings for operational groups and a plan to transfer reporting knowledge from consultants to internal staff.

Ending: Aldis said staff will continue post-go-live support and reporting refinements and that the district expects operational benefits once the HCM and consolidated systems stabilize.
