On a motion before the board, commissioners acknowledged that the structure previously located at 106 Wigum has been demolished by the property owner and found the lot no longer to contain the substandard structure. That motion passed unanimously.
For the property at 1121 Shepard Road (property ID 119247), the board found the structure to be substandard and a public nuisance and ordered the property owner to either make repairs in full compliance with Burkburnett code or obtain a demolition permit within 30 days; obtaining a permit provides a six-month period for demolition, after which the city may proceed if demolition does not occur. The motion carried unanimously.
