DeKalb seeks SPLAS funds to repair Lou Walker senior center kitchen after three years offline

Staff explained the difference results from proration of available SPLAS revenue and accrued interest; they said final quotes and minor interest accrual could bridge the gap but warned that the packet’s $276,000 figure was a pre-proration estimate.
Commissioners emphasized the center’s high utilization and expressed support for restoring kitchen operations. The committee approved the item in committee (motion to approve) and staff said they will finalize figures for the business meeting.
