Naples Code Enforcement Board reaffirms officer slate; continues one case to April 23 for further research

The City of Naples Code Enforcement Board on March 28 conducted officer elections and internal business before turning to enforcement matters. Nick Spahr, who identified himself at the start of the meeting as chair, was nominated and confirmed to continue as chair, and the board also selected Member Landau as vice chair; both votes were unanimous.
The board discussed and applied rules governing officer elections adopted in April. A member read the election procedures aloud before nominations were taken and votes were cast by voice/roll call.
On case scheduling, city staff requested a continuance on a matter that had previously been set for last month's meeting to allow research into liens, bonds recorded against the property and the possibility of a settlement with the owner. City staff asked the board to continue the case to the April 23 meeting at 2:00 p.m.; a motion to continue was made, seconded, and the board voted unanimously to continue the matter to April 23 at 2:00 p.m. for further investigation and proper noticing.
The board approved minutes from the Feb. 26, 2026 meeting and heard staff comments, including brief farewells to a departing board member who stated this would be their last meeting in Naples. The meeting adjourned after the day's cases were completed.
