New Planning Advisory Board member Joe Bloncker sworn in, pledges broader neighborhood representation

Joe Bloncker was sworn in at the start of the Planning Advisory Board meeting and took the oath administered by Deputy City Clerk Jessica Hernandez.
“I believe Naples is a city of communities,” Bloncker said, adding that he hopes to ensure “all of the communities” are represented and that he intends to bring experience from the Port Royal Property Owners Association to his work on the board.
Bloncker’s appointment fills a regular member seat through April 30, 2028. The chair thanked him for joining the board and asked if he had any other comments; Bloncker repeated two remarks he had made in his interview and expressed readiness to begin serving.
The board then moved on to pledge the flag and routine business.
