Tammy Robinson, Geary County finance director, presented the April monthly financial reports, including reconciled cash balances, year‑to‑date expenditures and project cash flows.
Robinson reported the county's total cash position at about $38 million and walked commissioners through fund and department reports. She said some departments — notably the library and economic development — show expenditures above the 33.33% mark because of timing and scheduled distributions but that overall general‑fund spending is within expectations.
On capital projects, Robinson told the commission the CIP cash‑flow analysis shows just over $2,500,000 available for additional projects and that the county had spent 9.22% of the CIP budget so far this year. "We have just over 2,500,000 available for additional projects," she said.
Robinson also reported building cash‑flow details and noted the senior‑center tile project spent approximately $50,006.48 in April, leaving about $551,000 available in that category. She offered to walk through department reports with any commissioner who had questions.
