A commissioner described the township's interest in restricting heavy-lift traffic on Northwest 401 and said township attorneys told them a resolution might not be required for certain measures. Staff noted that MoDOT approval would be necessary on the township side and that the county would coordinate signage and enforcement plans.
Commissioners asked staff to measure township road ownership footprints (including Mark's Curve Road) to determine which entity is responsible for maintenance and sign placement and to work with townships on selecting appropriate signs. The commission did not take a formal vote on an ordinance or resolution during the session; the item remains under consideration and staff will follow up.
