Staff proposed using a combination of gate receipts and a paid gold-card program to recover some revenue from out-of-town visitors, and discussed streaming options as an alternate revenue channel. The board also considered a discounted $3 admission for visiting students with ID and discussed enforcement and how to distinguish visiting fans from teams at gym entrances.
Trustees asked athletic staff to return with a short report detailing proposed pricing, the mechanics of a family gold card, how student IDs would be handled, and projected revenue so the board could act at a subsequent meeting. The board agreed to treat the May discussion as informational and requested an approval-ready proposal in June.
