Neighborhood Council 1 agreed on April 14 to participate collectively in the NeighborWorks community cleanup scheduled for Saturday, April 25 and to post details on the council Facebook page and via email.
Council members assigned Trevor Cummings, Abigail St. Lawrence and David Saslav to finalize the cleanup time and location and to publicize the event to district residents. The council also added a Neighborhood Watch program discussion to the May agenda; NeighborWorks can provide Neighborhood Watch signs for councils that pursue the program.
On meeting logistics, the council decided not to use a video screen during meetings unless it adds value and to keep remote Zoom access unadvertised for now until the council decides whether to promote remote participation for mobility-impaired residents. Updated Neighborhood Guide pamphlets from the city planning office are available with corrected web addresses.
Assigned follow-ups include posting cleanup details to Facebook and email and preparing the May agenda (Melissa Smith to prepare the agenda). The council's next meeting is May 12, 2026.
