The council also adopted R26-105 (approval of referees for property reassessment appeals) and R26-106 (amendment to Council procedural rule 4 on titles of legislation) after brief presentation by the sponsor and clerk.
Appropriations and grants passed included Ordinance 26-046 (Special Events Fund appropriation: approximately $60,000 plus $2,500 contributions from partner donors), Ordinance 26-047 and 26-048 (HUD Healthy Homes/lead-hazard reduction grants, including a $750,000 appropriation noted in discussion) and Ordinance 26-050 (a $500,000 redirect from the Affordable Housing Fund to the Elbert Palmer townhouse redevelopment). Council also adopted ordinances adjusting pay plans and class specifications (26-051 and 26-052) for Department of Community Services positions.
