Human Resources Director Vicki Cossairt and Election Board Secretary Crystal January addressed personnel and election logistics during the Delaware County commissioners’ March 31 meeting.
Cossairt reminded county employees that the courthouse will be closed Friday for a holiday and that elected officials who plan to file for office must do so April 1–3. She said the county has printed information about student‑loan debt relief available to public employees and that she, along with Emergency Management Director Jeff Reeves, would conduct root‑cause inquiries into recent employee injuries to determine whether changes can prevent similar incidents.
Crystal January, Election Board Secretary, said, "today is the last day to change your party affiliation for the upcoming primary," and confirmed that candidate filing would take place in her office Wednesday through Friday. January also noted early voting is underway for some school elections and bond questions.
These remarks were given as informational items; the board approved a motion to hear the Human Resources report and no separate action was taken on the student debt resources or injury inquiries during the meeting. For filing procedures and hours, candidates and voters should contact the Delaware County Election Board.
