Councilor Moody presented a public-safety item and sought council authorization to purchase two Ford police utility interceptors for patrol use under a cooperative purchase agreement.
Councilor Moody said the purchases had been planned and will be procured through a New Jersey State Cooperative vendor (Jerry to Hell Winter Ford noted in packet). The resolution (91-26) authorized the purchase with a not-to-exceed amount of $193,526.
The motion was seconded and the council approved the purchase by roll call. The council noted asset purchases follow cooperative purchasing procedures and the vehicles are intended for patrol use.
The procurement will proceed through the purchasing department consistent with cooperative contract terms; additional procurement documents and warranty information will be available in the meeting packet and procurement file.
