Chris Wooten, Lexington County District 69, opened the session and presented Senate Bill 7-15, saying it is identical to a House bill the committee passed recently and that the Senate has already handled it. He asked whether there were questions and then called for a motion.
Representative Mark Smith moved approval and Roger Kirby seconded. Chair Wooten called for those in favor to raise their hands, and he announced, “Senate 7 15 has been adopted.”
The subcommittee took the vote by hand raise and did not record a roll call. There were no public witnesses or further debate on the measure. The item was finalized in this meeting and Chair Wooten announced the adoption before moving to the next agenda item.
