The Fairfield County Board of Commissioners voted unanimously on May 5 to approve 29 resolutions covering proclamations, appointments, grants, procurement awards and service agreements.
Resolutions included proclamations recognizing May as ALS Awareness Month and the week of May 10–16 as National Police Week; the reappointment of Lisa Evangelista to the Fairfield County District Library Board (four-year term beginning June 1, 2026); establishment of a State-Local Cybersecurity Grant special revenue fund and related budget appropriations; approval of a subgrant with the Freeland Foundation to support pre-apprenticeship training through an Ohio Department of Development grant; three Emergency Management Agency resolutions related to a Natural Resources Conservation Service federal grant for the Fetters Run Project; and engineer office contract awards for the 2026 crack seal, pavement marking projects and purchase of liquid asphalt.
The Board also approved a contract with Moseley Elevator for elevator modernization at the Government Services Center, and multiple Job and Family Services service agreements and addenda for child protective services placements and support. The regular payment-of-bills resolution was also approved. Each resolution was approved by roll call vote with Commissioners Jeff Fix, David Levacy and Steve Davis voting "aye."
