Partnership approves purchase of nursing training supplies in FY26 spend‑down

Proposed items included four Stop the Bleed trainer kits (total $3,560), approximately $2,000 in vaccine supplies to replace expiring stock, replacement EpiPen packs (quantities specified on the slide), and up to six AED trainers (cost cited as $1,924). Putty said some vaccine and EpiPen supplies were expiring and that trainer equipment does not expire, making trainers suitable for purchase now while staff continue to seek funding for take‑home giveaway kits.
Participants discussed whether offering trainings without take‑home kits would be useful; members agreed purchasing trainers was acceptable while pursuing external grants or other town budget sources for kits. Jen Sullivan offered to research procurement details such as whether particular supplies must be procured through DPH.
Motion and vote: Taylor (Southborough) moved to approve the purchase of the nursing supplies outlined on the slide; Anne Marie Boylston seconded. All present voiced assent and the motion carried.
Members then directed staff to begin ordering the approved items and to continue seeking external funding sources to provide participant kits for training classes.
